Another strategy group was reading the book Groundhog Goes Outside by Karen Mockler. This is the summary that Haley, Emma S., Ian, Autumn and Rochelle wrote:
It was winter at Gus's house. Gus kept asking his family where his shadow is. His dad said, "Look outside for your shadow!" Gus walked out of the hut and everybody was waiting for him. Everybody cheered! Gus went back in, and his family asked, "Did you find it?" Gus said, "Find what?" because he forgot about his shadow!
We thought this was a funny book, and we liked reading about Gus!
